Premium Medical Transportation between San Diego and Tijuana
The service built for the day of the procedure and the day after it: a spacious Toyota Sienna, priority scheduling and the Medical Lane pass included so the northbound crossing stops being the hardest part of the trip.
What makes it a medical service and not just a nicer car
Premium Medical Transportation is designed around a passenger who is recovering. The vehicle is a Toyota Sienna with a low step-in height, wide sliding doors and a suspension that absorbs Tijuana pavement instead of transmitting it into a fresh incision. The seat reclines, the cabin is climate-controlled front to back, and there is room for a companion to sit beside the patient rather than behind them.
The difference is also in the dispatch. Medical reservations receive priority in the schedule: your window is protected, the unit is assigned earlier, and the driver arrives ahead of time because a surgical check-in is not a slot you can reschedule the way you can a dinner reservation.
The Medical Lane pass, and why the return trip is the real problem
Crossing south into Tijuana is usually a matter of minutes. Crossing back north is the direction that costs hours, and it is exactly the direction a patient takes right after a procedure, sedated, sore and out of patience.
Premium Medical Transportation includes the Medical Lane pass on the qualifying routes, which moves the vehicle into the expedited lane at the port of entry. What is regularly a one- to three-hour wait in the general lanes becomes a fraction of that. If you have booked our Premium service instead and want the pass, we can help you obtain one — just call +1 (619) 748-3656 before your trip.
Included with every medical transfer
Door-to-door service: we pick you up at the hotel, home or terminal and we do not leave the destination until clinic staff, recovery-house staff or a family member has received you. Luggage, walkers, crutches and medical bags are handled by the driver.
The published fare covers the patient plus one companion. Insurance covers every passenger on board for the whole trip, on both sides of the border, and the cabin is disinfected between services as a matter of protocol rather than on request.

Frequently asked questions about premium medical transportation in San Diego
Premium is a comfortable private transfer in the same class of vehicle. Premium Medical adds priority scheduling, extra care on the pickup and drop-off, and the Medical Lane pass on the northbound crossing. If the passenger has just had a procedure, the medical option is the one that matters.
Yes, within reason. Our drivers assist with balance, luggage, seat belts, walkers and crutches. They are not licensed medical personnel and cannot lift a patient who cannot bear their own weight, so if you need stretcher or ambulance transport, tell dispatch when you book and we will point you to the right provider.
Yes, and most of our reservations are booked by a family member or by the clinic's coordinator. Give us the patient's name, both addresses and a phone number that will be answered on the day, and we handle the rest.
It is included on the routes marked with the pass on our rates page, which are the ones where the northbound wait is the issue. Southbound travel into Tijuana does not need it.
