Pet-friendly private transportation across the border
Some passengers will not leave their dog behind, and they should not have to. This is the one service where pets travel with you — under clear, published rules.
Why pets need their own service
Our standard reservations do not allow pets, and that is a hygiene decision rather than a preference: the same vehicle carries post-operative patients, some of them immunocompromised, and a cabin that has just carried an animal is not the cabin we want to put them in without a full reset.
Pet-Friendly Private Transportation solves that by being a separate service. It is dispatched with the Premium vehicle, it is scheduled so the cabin can be deep-cleaned afterwards, and the fee reflects that additional cleaning cycle.
The rules, in plain language
Pets travel in a carrier or secured with a harness. The owner is responsible for the animal for the whole trip. The pet must be clean and in good health, and aggressive behaviour is not accepted — the driver and the other passengers share that cabin.
The fee is added on top of the route fare and depends on size: $35 USD for a small pet, $45 USD for a medium one and $55 USD for a large one. A cleaning fee may apply if the cabin needs more than the standard reset.
What we need to know when you book
Tell dispatch the species, the approximate weight and whether the animal will travel in a carrier. That is what determines the size bracket, the space we plan for and the cleaning cycle we schedule after your trip.
Crossing an animal into Mexico or back into the United States has its own documentation requirements, which are yours to satisfy — a health certificate is commonly requested. We can tell you what other passengers have been asked for, but the paperwork at the gate is between you and the authorities.
