Hotel transfers in San Diego and Tijuana
Most medical trips start and end in a hotel lobby. We work both sides: the night before in San Diego, the recovery nights in Tijuana, and every movement in between.
The hotel is the hinge of the whole trip
Almost every cross-border medical itinerary has a hotel in it. Patients fly into San Diego and sleep downtown or in Mission Valley the night before an early surgical check-in. Companions stay in a Tijuana hotel while the patient is admitted. People move from a recovery house to a hotel for the last two nights, when they feel well enough to want a real shower and a quiet room.
Each of those is a transfer, and each one happens at an hour nobody enjoys arranging: 4:30 in the morning, or right after a discharge that ran late.
Lobby pickups that actually work
We pick up at the lobby door, not at a pin across the street. Give us the hotel name and the room or reservation name at booking and the driver asks for you at reception, which matters when you are moving slowly or carrying more than you should be.
For pre-dawn departures we confirm the night before by WhatsApp, so you are not lying awake wondering whether the ride is really coming.
Booking for someone who has not arrived yet
Coordinators, clinics and family members book these transfers all the time for a patient still in the air. Give us the hotel, the flight and a phone that will be answered on the day, and we confirm to both of you.
If the hotel is in Tijuana and the movement is inside the city, it runs on the Tijuana City Service at $20 USD one way. Crossing the border is the published route fare.
